Claybook
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Claybook mobile application (the "App") operated by Claybook ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not use the App.
Claybook is a pottery journal designed to help you document your pieces through every stage, plan glazes, track kiln firings, and keep a record of your studio practice.
Informational tool only. Any information in the App about clay stages, drying, glazes, cones, or firing is general reference material. You are solely responsible for the safe operation of kilns and studio equipment and for following your equipment manufacturers' and studio's safety guidance. We are not responsible for damage to work, equipment, or property arising from decisions made using the App.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement.
An account is optional and used only for cloud backup. The App supports Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of those accounts and for all activity that occurs under your Claybook account. Notify us immediately at yyousef7901@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Certain features of the App require a paid subscription or a lifetime purchase ("Claybook Pro").
You agree not to:
The App, its design, code, and content (excluding your personal data) are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your device(s) for personal purposes.
Your work is yours. You retain all ownership of the data and content you create in the App — your pieces, notes, glaze plans, firing records, and photos. We do not claim ownership of your journal or your pottery, and we do not use your photos for anything other than operating the App's features (display and, if enabled, cloud backup).
Cloud backup is a Claybook Pro feature and is provided on a best-effort basis. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of irreplaceable photos. If your subscription lapses, backups are retained for a 90-day grace period and then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the App at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends. You may request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
